I’ve always been afraid of knives, from the machete a woman I used to babysit for kept under her bed to the standard kitchen knife. There is a belief out there that a dull knife is a dangerous knife, in my house I’ve proven this is the opposite.

There are a number of different directions to take. Write a character study about the guy giving the review. Write a short story with this knife as the main character following it through its different experience with new owners. Write about a group of boys who steal a knife like this from one of their fathers to enact revenge on someone who has hurt one of them. Write a non-fiction piece on why every boy should (or should not) learn how to handle knives.
